Using Your Anti-Lock Braking System

ABS is a safety feature designed to prevent the wheels from locking up during braking, particularly in emergency or slippery road conditions.

When you apply the brakes firmly in a vehicle equipped with ABS, the system automatically modulates brake pressure to each wheel individually. This helps maintain traction and steering control, allowing you to maintain better control of the vehicle during sudden stops or when braking on slippery surfaces such as wet or icy roads.
