The One Second Advantage
The One Second Advantage
This is the cornerstone lesson for the entire series. It presents three basic skills that are the foundation of good driving: Looking, Steering and Braking. The Looking section of this lesson discusses the importance your eyes play in good driving. Not just to observe the road, but to guide your vehicle, anticipate problems, and react quickly. In Steering, both the mechanics of hand technique and the subtleties of controlling your vehicle through turns are reviewed. The Braking section of this lesson covers not only emergency stopping, but braking techniques to alert other drivers, maintain control of your vehicle, and improve your reaction time.
